If you'd like to try out tiny house living before making the leap, consider a short holiday in one first to test the water. Tiny Homes Holidays is based next to the Parkhurst Forest and its walking trails and cycle routes on the Isle of Wight. There are currently three separate buildings - Eilidh, Hygge and Silva - each sleeping up to four, each with its own kitchen, shower, composting toilet, woodburning stove, and outside deck. The goal is to build three more.
As well as the tiny homes, there is also a studio venue which runs various free courses covering general wellness topics including writers' talks, craft workshops, and bread making. Guests can also help work in the mandala gardens (and use its produce).
Interestingly, the site is being designed to cater for guests with hearing, visual or mental issues, older guests and people with certain types of dementia.
