Ferryman's Cottage

While most people interested in tiny homes envisage a new-build and/or something on wheels, there are of course tiny houses out there which are much older...

Going to auction on October 5 is the single storey Ferryman's Cottage in Menai Bridge, Wales, with a guide price of £10,000-15,000 (plus fees). It's a Grade II listed building which dates back to at least 1687, making it almost certainly the town's oldest building, when it was used by the ferryman crossing the Anglesey shore. Features include a slate roof and a 17th century hearth. Internally it's 2.3m x 4m and while it needs total renovation (there is an electric link, but no water or gas), it does have lovely views.
